Suzanne's professional career includes special educator, educational team leader, literacy coach, and fifteen years as a school principal.
She currently volunteers as a literacy tutor for elementary students and as a Special Education Surrogate Parent (SESP) appointed by the Massachusetts Department of Education.
She has a M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology from University of Massachusetts Amherst. Suzanne also holds an M.B.A. from Boston University and previously worked for several years in corporate education and sales.
Her husband, Clint Richmond, is a long-time TMM in Precinct 6 and is a past member of the Brookline High School Site Council. Their children were born in Brookline and graduated from Pierce and Brookline High. We live in a nearly zero-emissions home equipped with solar panels.
Suzanne is committed to public service. Suzanne has served for nine years on the School Committee including as Vice Chair and Chair. She has participated in many committees including chairing curriculum.
Suzanne is committed to education and public schools. She has served in many student-facing education roles from classroom teacher to school administration. She understands and supports special education. She believes in educating the whole child. She has also coached teachers and new principals.
Suzanne is committed to Brookline. She and her husband moved to Brookline in 1985 for the schools. Both of their children later graduated from the Brookline Public Schools.
